Choose the Correct Record Office

Use the record type to choose the custodian. The Unicoi County Sheriff’s Department is the county office for jail-operation questions. The county’s verified electronic request route is the Unicoi County Emergency 911 public-record form. It is a request channel, not a live roster, and its published return estimate is three to five business days.

The county has not published a booking-photo fee schedule. Ask the custodian for an estimate before requesting copies. For a court case or disposition, use the clerk rather than the county request form.

These options cover different systems and should not be treated as interchangeable.

• For a county booking record or releasable photo, submit the 911 request form, identify the person, date, and arresting agency, then ask the sheriff or 911 office to confirm the correct custodian.
• For an incident report from Erwin or Unicoi police, contact the arresting municipal agency. The county booking record is a separate request.
• For a court case, docket, or disposition, use the Circuit Court and its public case search.
• For a possible state-custody or supervision record, use the TDOC Felony Offender Information Locator. A fresh Unicoi booking may not be in FOIL.

• For a warrant-status question, begin with the court or sheriff’s published office contacts. A public case entry is not necessarily real-time warrant confirmation.
